Message from the President

Greetings Chapter 74,

I hope everyone got to spend some quality time with friends and family over the past few weeks. Unfortunately, it’s time to get back to work!

The Holiday party was a great success! Attendance was lower than expected due to the weather but still a great time was had by those who attended. At the event, the nomination committee revealed the Employer of the Year – Capital Metro, the Young Professional of the Year – Lisa Cooper and the Professional of the Year – Michael Latham. Congratulations to All! Awards will be presented by Don Toner at our February Lunch. Bragging rights for most creative basket goes to THC for the camp/hunting basket and highest bid to Allegiant. Congratulations and Thank you for your donations. A total of $1830 was raised for Blue Santa! Thank you, Alex Gale, for putting a great event together!

Please put the next luncheon on your calendar, February 13, 2018 at Maggiano’s. Patrick Rose, former state legislator, accompanied by Aaron Campbell and Lynn Maxwell will entertain us. He is a very dynamic speaker! Don’t miss it!

The Region 2 Spring Forum is just around the corner! It will be held on April 5th and 6th in San Antonio at the Hilton Palacio del Rio. The hotel room reservation block deadline is March 13, 2018, rate is $159. Remember it is free to attend the seminar so plan on attending to stay up with region news and of course for great networking!

The Young Professionals are hosting an event on Wednesday, January 24th at Hi Tunes Karaoke from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Beer, Wine and appetizers will be provided. I heard being a good singer is NOT a requirement! Come join us for some great music and networking!
