Message from the President
Chapter 74 Members,
I hope that you had a good Memorial Day Weekend, enjoyed some time away from work and the endless virtual meetings that seem to dominate our new workday.
I would like to thank our Nominations Committee (Randy Williams, Ron Olderog and Virginia Anderson) for their hard work carrying out our Chapter Office Elections! Randy, Ron and Virginia demonstrated dedication to our profession and creativity in developing procedures for our members to safely vote for our new officers.
Congratulations our 2020-2021 Chapter Officers!
Chapter President – Tara O’Neal
Chapter Vice President – Barbara Price
Treasurer – Richard Scholtz, R/W-AC
Chapter Secretary – David Baylor, SR/WA
Two Year Director – Lori Bible, SR/WA
One Year Director – Alex Gale, SR/WA, R/W-RAC, R/W-NAC, R/W-URAC
I have full confidence in this group to lead our chapter through the coming year and all changes that our chapter will have to make to carry out our mission while developing best practices to keep our members engaged while we practice social distancing.
Please join me in congratulating our award winners!
Cathy Thomas, R/W-AC, MAI,SRA, AI-GRS was named 2020 Professional of the Year; Max Roach was named 2020 Young Professional of the Year; and, Rials Appraisal Review and Consulting was named 2020 Employer of the Year!
Chapter 74 is dependent on our volunteers to keep our members engaged and provide the educational opportunities our members deserve. Please contact our incoming President Tara O’Neal for Chapter Committee volunteer opportunities.
And, please know that we are continuing to take steps to keep our members safe while still providing opportunities to learn and network. Our education committee is looking at converting some of our upcoming courses to “Virtual” classes instead of in-person courses and Region 2 is investigating social distancing options for our Refresher Seminar in College Station.
I hope that each of you and your families are staying healthy and happy. I look forward to seeing you in person soon!
Lori Bible, SR/WA
