Rutherford Real Estate is a family-based company located in New Braunfels that specializes in appraisal review services for ROW acquisition projects in the transportation and infrastructure industry.
The company is composed of Jeff Rutherford, SR/WA, R/W-AC, a Texas Certified General Real Estate Appraiser, a Texas Real Estate Broker, a member of the IRWA, and an Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute. Jeff has been in the real estate industry for over 45 years and has specialized in appraisal review for over 30 years.
The company also includes Leslie Rutherford, RWA, a Certified Appraiser Trainee, a Texas Real Estate Sales Agent, and a member of the IRWA. Rounding out the company roster is Colton Rutherford, a Certified Appraiser Trainee.
Rutherford Real Estate has been engaged in hundreds of ROW projects and has reviewed thousands of parcel appraisals across the State of Texas. Their experience runs deep in the appraisal review segment of the ROW industry. The company’s aim is to always provide high value to their clients by offering an expert product.

I am truly honored to accept the Young Professional Award for IRWA Chapter 74 for 2025–2026. This recognition means a lot to me because I have grown through this chapter and through the people who invest their time and knowledge into our industry. I am grateful for the support, the mentorship, and the opportunities to learn, contribute, and stay connected with professionals who care about the work we do.
